The Christmas season brings upon many different opportunities - opportunities to spend money, spend time with family and friends, consume ourselves with consumerism, be silly and nostalgic, and most importantly reflect on the birth of Jesus Christ.
Christmas 2012 was as busy as ever, and despite all efforts to NOT get bogged down by it all, we still found ourselves trying to split up our time amongst friends, family, preschool activities, church activities, and all the other fun things to do around the holiday season.

In addition to some of the things we did in previous blogs (Gingerbread House, Angel Breakfast, Breakfast with Santa, and visiting Santa.. again ), here are some other highlights of things we did over the Christmas season…
Emerson attends Messiah Moravian Preschool. We love it there and Emerson appears to love it too! One of the events they do around Christmas is a Moravian Love Feast Service that the kids get to attend. The older kids also get to perform a few songs, but the Toddlers (Emerson's class) just sits back and quietly observes - okay, not so quietly observes. In addition to the Love Feast roll, Emerson loved holding (and blowing out) the candle.

If you're an Amrich, you probably love Christmas. Some of my favorite activities are the things we do as a family: decorating the house and tree, listening to and sing Christmas songs, watching Christmas movies, baking Christmas goodies, and driving around and looking for cool Christmas lights! As I type this, I think it's pretty cool that most of my own favorite memories revolve around these simple family activities, and I hope that my family can one day look back and feel the same about their experience.
