Emerson went to his first Tarheel basketball game last week, and HE LOVED IT!!!!

He loved watching the basketball players shoot hoops and the marching band bang the drums, but I think his favorite part was looking for Rameses all over the Dean Dome!!

Weekend in the OBX

We recently took Brian's mom, Gigi, to the Outer Banks for the weekend. My aunt, Bobbie, let us stay in one of her cottages (www.pelicancottages.com), and we had such a great time. We toured from Duck down to Hatteras, and saw lighthouses, pirate ships (a/k/a sailboats), kite surfers, pinwheels, Jockey's Ridge, and several shops!!















And, yes, you do see a cast (or "silly blue sock" as we've been calling it) on Emerson's right foot. Our little guy got hurt on a slide in the nursery. He's doing really well, and in fact, the cast came off today!!! To be honest, I still can't get over what a trooper he's been about this whole thing. He didn't complain once about having to wear the cast, and figured out how to walk and run all over the place with it....even on the wood floors!!! I pray he keeps this impressively positive attitude throughout life!
